OUTREACH OF JESULANA HOPE ALIVE FOUNDATION FOR THE YEAR 2023
To the glory of God, Jesulana Hope Alive Foundation commenced its monthly outreach for the year 2023 on 31st January, 2023. Although the original plan was to visit Cerebral Palsy Centre, Surulere, Lagos State, the team discovered on arrival that the home had relocated to Ajah. In order not to return the items already prepared for donation, and to ensure that the purpose of the outreach was still fulfilled, the team searched for a nearby orphanage home and was led to Tower of Refuge Motherless/Orphanage Babies Home, located at Landmark Adetola Junction, 7 Wole Madariola Street, Off Adetola Street, Surulere, Lagos State.
After making contact with the home, the team proceeded there and successfully delivered the items. Though the reception at the home was not particularly warm, the Foundation received the experience with understanding and humility, recognizing that every step in this kingdom assignment comes with its own lessons. In the course of the brief interaction, the attendant asked questions about the Foundation, its mission, and previous outreach efforts. She was informed about the vision of the Foundation, the number of homes already visited, and was shown previous monthly reports as testimony of the Foundation’s consistency and dedication. We also learnt that the home was founded in 2019, is duly registered under government, and currently caters for 23 children between the ages of 0 and 16 years.
To the glory of God, the Foundation donated noodles, wheat, toothpaste, milk, custard, tissues, rice, bathing soap, and biscuits. Cash gifts were also extended to selected beneficiaries as part of the Foundation’s monthly benevolence. Present during the outreach were Engr. Festus Jesulana, Mrs. Adenike Jesulana, Mr. Olamilekan Daniel, and Mr. Paul.
This outreach marks another important beginning in the Foundation’s journey for the year 2023, and despite the unexpected changes and mixed reception, it remains a testimony of perseverance, compassion, and obedience to the call of service.
